I love how creative it was , it just blew my mind and I was watching with a smile the whole time, seeing this paranormal horror story play out in this little girls bedroom. A little girl named Evie (Cailey Fleming) shows her parents (Rachel Hendrix and David Shae) the Smithsmiths (Mother, Father, Ethan, and Dane), a family of dolls she has collected for her new dollhouse. Everything seems normal in the dollhouse, but one day, after coming home from school, Evie sees that her dolls have moved by themselves. She also notices a ghoulish severed head sitting on the living room coffee table that seemingly has real blood coming from the cut. When she turns her gaze away from the head for only a minute, she finds that it's moved onto the floor.

REVIEW: ‘Interview With The Vampire’ Season 2 Is Effortlessly Exceptional
She puts it back into the house, closing the wall up. Or at least she’s trying to escape, anyway.Solid opener for the series! Father Gore loves the story “Gray Matter” by Stephen King, so it was a treat to see it so well adapted, and so gross. Young Cailey Fleming does a fine job in her segment, showing off the chops she’s been developing over on The Walking Dead as Judith Grimes. Ive never read the comics the anthologies are based off of, but the 2nd story in the first Episode of the new Creepshow, is now one of my all-time horror anthology favorites.
Watch: Donald Trump announces 2024 presidential run amid legal woes
It is the conclusion of Gray Matter that really gave me the feeling that I was watching a Creepshow segment–from the camera angels to the lighting by torchlight–both of which made the monstrous reveal even more impactful. But crucially, they will allow local governments to make their own regulations on crypto mine businesses after they were hamstrung by Act 851. They still are denied local control when it comes to regulating “home crypto mining” — which lots of lawmakers are worried might be abused — but in practice is much less likely to cause the same kind of nuisance.
After Evie gets home from mom and daughter movie night, she finds the people in her house have moved again, as has the head. And the head moves more while she’s there, without her noticing until it disappears. She’s sure the dollhouse is haunted.Evie’s father Randy (David Shae) thinks a dollhouse is good for building identity. He and his wife Marsha (Rachel Hendrix) encourage their daughter. They bought the thing from a semi creepy-looking dude named Mr. Ogman (Guy Messenger). Meanwhile, Evie’s got a policeman to watch over the house.
Ishbia was asked about Vogel’s future twice and twice he said he had not started that evaluation process. “Everyone is accountable,” he said, adding that every move is on the table. A pure point guard will be discussed, but that doesn’t mean one will be pursued. “And when you put that player on the floor and you take the ball out of someone’s hands, whose hands are you taking it out of and who are you putting in that position? He doesn’t deny a pure point guard would help the Suns, he just doesn’t see it as their biggest problem.

Two bills, Senate Bill 78 and Senate Bill 79, aiming to regulate crypto mining and address some of the problems created by a bungled law from 2023, passed easily with no debate in the Arkansas House today. In 2019, the Manor pushed Southern California’s luxury real estate market to new heights when it sold for $119.75 million. Protest organizers said they wanted to bring attention to the high numbers of Palestinian and other Arab journalists killed by Israel’s military since the war began in October. The president made a grim speech about what he believes is at stake this election, saying that another Trump administration would be even more harmful to America than his first term. “My vice president actually endorses me,” Biden said.
Message From The King [TIFF Review]
The cinematography, lighting, textile usage, and overall ambition of what they bring to life with such detail is flat-out inspiring. A young girl discovers a strange toy head in her newly acquired dollhouse. Based on a short story by Stephen King, Gray Matter follows a grief-stricken father who, after the death of his wife, develops an insatiable drinking habit that reveals itself to be something far more disturbing. The Creep shows audience members darkly grim horror stories from the pages of the Creepshow comic book. Each story evokes the traits of a comic book like the first Creepshow film and shows some occasional advertisements of horror products promoted in the comics. The stories detail different things including but not limited to demons, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, and zombies.
Unlike the film entries, the Creepshow series will feature several directors instead of one director. Announced segment directors include David Bruckner, Roxanne Benjamin, Rob Schrab, John Harrison, Greg Nicotero, and Tom Savini;[1] the latter three having worked on the first two Creepshow features.
The three-story anthology explores the many definitions of what a house can be using different tones and techniques. It also proves the vitality that this special kind of animation can bring to the screen. A worthy watch that hopefully inspires more stories of its kind in the future. Chapter 3 introduces the most beautiful landscapes of the whole film, taking place post global flood as homes are now rendered as tiny islands in an ecosystem threatening to swallow everything in its path. Following in the footsteps of the house flipper, Rosa (Susan Wokoma) is a cat that acts like a human.

Chants accused U.S. journalists of undercovering the war and misrepresenting it. “Western media we see you, and all the horrors that you hide,” crowds chanted at one point. While Mr. Fetterman may have been in the minority among his political peers, with most of whom following the president’s example and opting for a traditional tux, creative black tie proved a talking point. See Billy Porter in a black sequin caftan over a classic white shirt; Questlove, in an artistically paint-splattered jacket; and Fran Drescher, the SAG-AFTRA president, in a white brocade pantsuit. It’s only fitting, really, given the subtext of journalists being jailed around the world.
He said it means the Suns are relevant; people would not care if they were not. When he purchased the Suns in February of 2023, he said he would do everything possible to bring the city its first title. But he says he won’t stop until he reaches his goal.
It’s also another striking feat of stop-motion animation, with lifelike sets and clothes that practically breathe as the furry characters move. The foundation for the anthology is established by the gothic cloth animation of Emma De Swaef & Marc James Roels, who previously orchestrated the colonization mini-anthology short “This Magnificent Cake! ” Their eye for towering sets, intricate stark detail, and characters with tiny eyes and mouths continues here, with a slow burn tale about a family that suffers from a Faustian homeowner bargain. The father Raymond (Matthew Goode) makes a deal with “an architect of great renown” that he runs into the woods named Mr. Van Schoonbeek (Barney Pilling), who offers them a new mansion and furnishings, for free. The only catch, that they are aware of at least, is that they must give up their current home. Raymond jumps the opportunity as a means of status, to have the nicest house in the area, and make others jealous.
In contrast to Gray Matter, the House of the Head uses more of a warm pallet in terms of its aesthetic creating the illusion of safety; however, don’t be fooled. There is, of course, something more sinister at play here. As the camera looms into the dollhouse (which is reminiscent of Hereditary), we know some creepy shit is about to go down.
